Mark Jacobs, current General Manager of Mythic will leave EA on June 23, 2009. We thank Mark for his contributions at Mythic and wish him the very best going forward. Mark played a major part in the success of Mythic with his contribution as General Manager and Lead Designer of WAR.

Mythic retains a strong team led by Rob who co-founded Mythic in 1995. Rob played a critical role in the development of Dark Age of Camelot. In his previous role as COO, he was responsible for all day-to-day management of the studio including all development, operations and support.

Please join us in celebrating the union of these two award-winning studios.

Why does it always happen?

I can't believe an innocent post about "in-game items" suddenly turned into a racial hate fest, with immature name-calling and remarks about illiteracy, AIDs and Genocide. I'm glad that the thread is locked but it disturbs me that there is tension between American sand the Europeans. Can't we just all get along?

On a lighter note..
Happy patch day!!!!!

lion cub
I am glad to find this community! To introduce myself, I am an avid wow player who recently went for WAR's free trial. It only took 2 of those 10 days for me to hop over to Target and pick up a copy of WAR. What a great game! I love the casual style, I love the PVP rewards system, and this is coming from someone who hates. Hates. Hates. HATES. PVP in wow. I love that you can gear up and level while doing RvR scenarios and that they can be queued from any location. I love that no matter your level, in scenarios you are always generally going to be a level average with everyone else.

I'm just trying to get the bf to roll with me now, who also plays wow. Like I said to him, it's not a wow killer, it's not a wow replacement, but a game that functions as casual entertainment and totally worth every penny spent.

I currently have a 13 White Lion on Magnus and a 9 Zealot on Ironfist. Any guilds worth checking out? Also I've heard something about a tax system in guilds. How exactly does that work?

Hey all, I hope everyone is enjoying their time in Warhammer. I really like how I can just hop in during a night and get stuff done within an hour. I'm currently doing T3 ORVR and getting nice gear. I just wish I can complete my whole Devastator set without getting the same pieces over and over. :(

I have a blog dedicated to Warhammer and other MMO's if you are interested:

Have a nice Waaaagh Day! :D

Hello there, ladies.

I'm a new member to the community, and after lurking around for a bit at the screenshots and some of the stories that have been shared, my interests for trying WAR have really been piqued.

My husband and I have been interested in the game for some time now, but we're really looking to sample the content before paying for the game and for it monthly as well. Would anyone be willing to share a trial key so that we can see how the game really plays before we decide to invest money in trying it out? It would really be appreciated.

I can offer my email and other necessary information in a private message. Again, thanks. :)

Did ya'll notice how crazy it got yesterday due to the Heavy Metal daily quest objective?

The ORVR zone in Avelorn was jammed packed full of people! I would say close to 150. I have never lagged so bad in this game before but it was great fun. I wish the ORVR areas were this crowded all the time.

Anyone else have this experience? Seems like the trend is people are doing more ORVR in general than the scenarios. yay. :)

my fandom looks mainstream
Hi everyone,

Just posting a quick greeting from Ostermark! Just last night I finally dinged rank 20 on my Magus, very exciting :).

I'm seriously considering going back to the Order side with a KotBS because they just look so amazing. My alt is a Shadow Warrior, so I'll have something to fall back on should I not enjoy it as much.

The Blackguard sounded interesting at first, but looks-wise I just don't think it looks badass enough compared to the Witch Elves or Disciples of Khaine.

Snakeeyes - Warhammer Online
Anyone doing the Heavy metal event? I really like the factory PVP area :) Anyone know what the 2nd objective is today?

Also..I just got the WAR bonus item Kossar's helm from Red Alert 3. It turns you in a white bear but I don't think EA/Mythic intended for this to happen:

Riding a mount as a bear. lol.

:) Fun stuff.
